What projects are in progress for Masterson Station Park equestrian activities?

  1. Much of the horse plank fencing has been replaced and repaired. Parks and Recreation personnel have done a terrific job with this project as well as the cleaning up of old branches and tress.
  2. Currently the indoor arena includes 30 stalls for rental use, which represent the total stalls available currently at the Park. The focus is to increase the stall capacity by 100 stalls in order to generate revenue and meet utilization expectations. Presently, P&R and MET are anticipating the construction of two 50-stall barns, the first in 2007,the second to be constructed in 2008, offering overnight stabling for small to medium size clinics and competitions.
  3. An ongoing priority is signage throughout the Park that identifies buildings and areas for specific equestrian use, i.e. Show Office, Dressage Complex, Hunter/Jumper Rings, Cross Country Courses, etc.
  4. The calendar of clinics, schooling days and competitions has increased significantly this year and is expected to continue to grow.
